Innovative street cleaning vehicle: Trilety wins the craft award!

The 35th presentation of the Salzburg Craft Prize reached a new high point on October 8, 2025 in Hallein. At a festive event in the workshop of the metal construction company Trilety, the jury selected the most innovative companies in the region. Trilety GmbH from Hallein secured first place with its newly developed street cleaning vehicle for Felbertauernstrasse. This innovative sweeper vehicle is not only a technical masterpiece, but also a symbol of the excellent craftsmanship achieved in Salzburg. The company, known for its specialization in sweeping and cleaning, employs around 45 people and brought the vehicle to market in just six months of construction. The new model has been in use for a week and has already caused a positive stir. SN reports that….

Traditional companies follow in the other places. Meiberger Holzbau GmbH from Lofer took second place for the impressive installation of a kindergarten in a listed building in Berchtesgaden. A project that not only meets modern requirements, but also preserves the historical charm of the building. The kindergarten in Rosenhof, which was revitalized at a cost of millions, uses a three-story wooden building. Meiberger has already received several awards for this achievement in the past. At the award ceremony on October 11th, the success will also be recognized with the Bavarian Monument Protection Prize. Schlosserei Harasser GmbH from Saalfelden secured third place. She impressed with a bridge railing made of Corten steel for the Mühlfeldweg Bridge, which features 179 individually shaped slats. Salzburg24 adds that....

There are challenges behind the successes of the companies mentioned, which are not unknown even in the craft. At a time when the economic situation remains tense for many craft businesses, division chairman Bernhard Seidl pointed out the importance of the dual training system. This is particularly relevant because sales in the Salzburg craft sector fell by 1.1 percent in 2025. According to a current survey, only 29 percent of the 216 companies surveyed rate their situation as good, while 25 percent report on a bad situation. The situation is particularly challenging in the area-based area, which also includes construction and metal industry. The craft sheet indicates that ....

Despite these challenges, the industry cannot be stopped. The willingness to invest in dual training is still high, with 9.7 billion euros in the training year 2022/2023. This shows that the companies rely on sustainable training and thus strengthen their own competitiveness. A look at the cost-benefit ratio of the training shows that around 70 percent of the training costs can be covered by the yields. This is a positive sign for the companies that are willing to invest in the next generation of specialists.

This craft festival is not only an award for outstanding achievements, but also a platform to emphasize the importance of craftsmanship in the Salzburg area. At a time when economic uncertainty is commonplace, craftsmanship remains a stable anchor that combines innovation and tradition.
