Cultural event of the year: Museum Shake rocks Ritzen Castle!
A cheerful and unconventional cultural scene is establishing itself in Saalfelden! The “Kulturleinwand” association, which was founded in 2023 and is headed by Pascal Dillinger, has set itself the goal of presenting art and culture in new, exciting ways. Today, November 8th, the Ritzen Castle Museum invites you to the “Museum Shake Ltd. Club” event – a mixture of art, music and party spirit.
The idea behind the “Museum Shake” is to bring younger people into the museum by harmoniously combining tradition and modernity. The event will take place in the museum's ballroom while the exhibits are securely cordoned off. Last year the event was already sold out with 100 participants - a good sign that this is a hit in Saalfelden!
A day full of activities
The “Day Club” starts at 2 p.m. and offers free entry. Here visitors can enjoy a photo exhibition, fortify themselves with drinks and snacks and listen to the music of various DJs. A special highlight: A tattoo artist will be on site to spice up the atmosphere.
The “Night Club” starts at 8:30 p.m. and requires tickets. Excitement is guaranteed when Pascal Dillinger and his father take over the turntables as DJs. This is sure to make the evening an unforgettable experience!
A breath of fresh air in the cultural scene
The “Kulturleinwand” association is planning to open a weekly children’s theater group in 2026, which will give interested children the opportunity to express themselves creatively. The first performance is already scheduled for November 30th. In addition, the “Open Decks” event series will be launched at the Nexus from January 17th, offering up-and-coming DJs a platform to show off their talent.
The club is also involved in the production of “live session” videos for local bands, which are published on YouTube. The event entitled “KulturScreen: Final Cut” on February 6th will further enrich the program. Dillinger emphasizes that the club would also like to be active beyond the borders of Saalfelden.
Digital education in the museum
In the area of digital education, museums are actively working to create contemporary offerings. Since 2017, the specialist group for digital education and communication in museums has been committed to the exchange and development of innovative formats. This covers important topics such as the role of digital strategies and the challenges that digital transformation brings. Events such as the digital workshop discussions are used to work on future educational approaches - the platform for digital education also reports on this.
Cultural institutions throughout Austria and beyond recognize the importance of using digital media and technologies in a playful way. The aim is to raise cultural communication to a new level, which is more in demand than ever in times of digitalization and social media.
The commitment of “Kulturleinwand” and the initiatives in digital education show that Saalfelden and the surrounding regions are on a promising path to making cultural offerings attractive and accessible. If everything goes well, we can look forward to many exciting events in the coming months!
