Italian culture kisses Salzburg: anniversary celebrations delight everyone!

Italian culture is celebrated in a big way in the heart of Salzburg! The “Società Dante Alighieri Salzburg” celebrated its 90th anniversary on November 15, 2025 with a colorful celebration under the motto “Italia mia”. As meinkreis.at reports, the Carabinierisaal was the location for this special anniversary, which was organized in collaboration with the Domquartier.

Giorgio Simonetto, who has managed the company since 1996, is optimistic about the future. His goal is to continue the current projects and to hold similar festivals in the coming years. The anniversary celebration offered a variety of activities, including concerts of various musical genres, a tasting of Italian wines and specialties and a children's program. A new volume of poetry was also presented that reflects Italy's cultural diversity.

Insights into language and culture courses

But the “Società Dante Alighieri” has much more to offer than just festivities. Her main concern remains teaching the Italian language and culture. In addition to classic language courses for beginners and advanced learners, a wide range of interactive courses are also offered, which are led by experienced teachers from Italy. These include, among other things, special courses that are combined with yoga, operas or literary forums. The courses are diverse: from the standard course, which teaches grammar and vocabulary for all levels weekly over a longer period of time, to intensive courses that enable compact learning over four afternoons. Tailor-made language courses for companies and conversation courses are also on the program. A particular focus is on the social component, because using the language in an interactive environment should be fun and easy.

A cultural exchange
