A very special event is coming up on Thursday, November 13, 2025, in the Philharmonie Berlin. Because then the talented Barbara Dragan conducts a concert with piano star Jérémie Moreau and cellist Valerie Fritz. Dragan is filling in at short notice for Vitali Alekseenok, who had to cancel due to illness. This surprise is already generating great interest in advance.
The Philharmonie Berlin, known for its outstanding German Symphony Orchestra (DSO), will delight listeners with a varied program this evening. This includes works by Fjodor Akimenko, Ludwig van Beethoven, Johannes Maria Staud and Peter Tchaikovsky. In particular, Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major Op. 58 is the focus when master pianist Jérémie Moreau demonstrates his skills. The young musician, winner of the Kissinger PianoOlymp 2024, not only impresses with his virtual playing, but also studies with the respected Sir András Schiff.
The ensemble and the program
Valerie Fritz, who will be touring European concert halls as an ECHO Rising Star next season, brings her impressive range from classical to contemporary music into play. The concert will be moderated by Holger Hettinger, while Dr. Albrecht Dümling will give an exciting concert introduction at 7:15 p.m. The Great Hall of the Philharmonic becomes a place where young talent and classical music lovers meet.

Her studies at the Frédéric Chopin University in Warsaw and the Hamburg University of Music and Theater prepared her well for this task. She was also responsible for the pre-recording of the music for the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, further cementing her reputation as an up-and-coming conductor.
