Gripping races at the Salzburgring: Tymoteusz Rusinek inspires fans!

Last weekend the Salzburgring was rid of hell again when the popular VfV Glppro celebrated its comeback after a long time. With a total of 84 vehicles on the starting line, the rating run became a real highlight for motorsport enthusiasts in the Salzkammergut. However, this event is not part of the championship decision, which nevertheless did not take the joy of driving against the clock and offering the audience an exciting competition.

The weather conditions at the beginning of the event were anything but ideal. On Friday the autumn cooling showed up and it rained promptly. But the weather improved over the weekend and provided a pleasant environment for racing drivers. This in particular benefited the touring car and GT vehicles in two rating groups, which attracted numerous participants - starting group A alone had 24 participants.

Top drivers and gripping races

In the start group A, Tymoteusz Rusinek (BMW 4 45 E36) prevailed as the fastest driver with a time of 1: 36,795. He not only recorded the victory in the group, but also the overall victory of all starters and thus secured a proud 1248 scoring points. The second place in the touring car rating went to Stefan Pfletschinger (VW Käfer) with 1700 points. The podium is completed by Christian Ehret (Opel Ascona B), who scored in 1921 points. The pursuers were also heavily laid out in this evaluation; So behind the podium by drivers such as Bernhard Lang (Ford Escort RS 2000 special) and Holger Hille (BMW M3) were found.

In the area of the GT car, Jo Rimpl (Porsche 944 Turbo S) was the most powerful driver with 1431 points, followed by Oliver Neidull (Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0) and Karl-Heinz Reck (Porsche 968 CS), who were also able to achieve considerable scores.

The power of group B

Group B was able to have the largest number of participants, where 37 vehicles plunged into the battle on the racetrack. Dieter Bauer with his Lancia Beta Coupe, who took an impressive 1690 points, took care of the overall victory. Maximilian Schewe (Porsche 944) and Werner Pfisterer (Alfa Romeo Gtjunoir) rounded off the top three.

On the hunt for points, the Formula car classic also showed his speed. Florian Mauhart (PRS Formula Ford F 03) crowned the winner of this rating with 2214 points. Michael Dolzer (FB4 Swift Formula Ford) and Silvio Keilig (Melkus MB90) followed him in the overall classification.

ADAC Racing Weekend: A new format

The ADAC Racing Weekend also took place in parallel to the exciting races, which not only offers a new format for width motor sports in Salzburgring, but also in Germany and the Netherlands. The Gran Turismo Cup (GTC Race) is the main series that competes at all events. A total of five events are planned this year, including three new events to promote semi-professional and amateur motor sport. Organizationally, everything is handled according to contemporary standards, so that the authenticity of the events is preserved. All races are also transferred to the live stream, so that spectators from home do not have to miss an exciting duel, as adac-motorsport.de reported on the impressive organization.

For all motorsport fans who don't want to miss anything, the ADAC offers an excellent platform with contemporary standards for time and driver's bearing planning as well as timekeeping. The next event for the participants will take place at the Hockenheimring in two weeks. This means that motorsport in Austria and beyond is high pressure by playing up new events and platforms that meet the boom of the popular sports scene.
