In this context, it is worth mentioning that more than 300 million euros were generated from player transfers between 2013 and 2019, making the club one of the most successful in Austria. It remains to be seen how the club will fare under the new coaching conditions next season after Pepijn Lijnders was sacked in December 2024.
Apart from this game, there were also notable results in the 2nd league, where the Salzburg teams were in action. FAC Wien defeated FC Liefering 2-0, and FC Admira Wacker won against SV Austria Salzburg 4-0. So it remains exciting at all levels of football in Salzburg.
